One English book for Paper I and Paper II of the 22nd CTET: the tag words that decide Child Development and Pedagogy questions, and the NCERT content for classes 3 to 8 on which the subject questions are based — with 1,123 original questions and every answer explained.

The 22nd CTET is to be held on 12 and 13 December 2026 (CBSE public notice of 14 September 2026). Paper I (classes I–V) and Paper II (classes VI–VIII) each have 150 multiple-choice questions in two and a half hours, with no negative marking; 60 per cent is the qualifying mark. This book follows the syllabus in the Board's information bulletin topic by topic. The two language sections are outside its scope.

Getting started — the exam at a glance from the bulletin, the NCERT textbooks in use in 2026–27 (Our Wondrous World, Maths Mela, Curiosity, Exploring Society: India and Beyond and Ganita Prakash) and how they map to the CTET syllabus, and a six-week plan.

Part I — Child Development and Pedagogy (30 questions in both papers): the tag-word method — green signals of a right answer, red signals of a wrong one, blue traps; development, heredity, environment and socialisation; Piaget, Vygotsky, Kohlberg, Erikson, Bruner and Bandura; child-centred education, NCF 2005, the RTE Act 2009 and its 2019 amendment, NEP 2020, NCF-FS and NCF-SE; intelligence, language, gender and individual differences; assessment and CCE; inclusive education and the RPwD Act 2016; learning and pedagogy; an A–Z dictionary of CDP terms; and four CDP tests of 30 questions in the 15 + 5 + 10 pattern — 464 questions.

Part II — NCERT classes 3–5 (Paper I): EVS under the CTET themes (family and friends, food, shelter, water, travel, and things we make and do), EVS pedagogy, mathematics for the primary classes and mathematics pedagogy for both papers — 214 questions.

Part III — NCERT classes 6–8 (Paper II): science under the seven CTET themes, science pedagogy, mathematics for classes 6 to 8, history, geography, social and political life, and social science pedagogy — 445 questions. Every computed answer in mathematics was checked twice.

Every note and every question was written for this book; no question from any examination is printed here, and no NCERT text is reproduced — the summaries restate the facts and ideas in the book's own words. This book is independent and is not published, approved or endorsed by the Central Board of Secondary Education or by NCERT. Confirm dates and rules at ctet.nic.in.
